Default nrg short hub+nrg slim QR on a 92 civic question.

EDIT - also, will the lock work on the slim quick release?

i was just wondering if it would work or not. i currently have the nrg short hub but im using the nrg 2.0 quick release. i wanna know if anybody has tried it or is using the slim QR+the short hub. id like to use the slim QR if i could cuz the part that stays on the steering wheel is a lot smaller and lighter to carry around in my backpack and whatnot. thanx in advance.

I want one of these setups so bad...

kinda off topic but...

when doing this.. do you bridge the srs wiring to turn off the CEL? and when its said and done would the passenger airbag still be active if you did bridge it ?

i didnt know that.but i prefer regular size qr.cause i sit all the way back (6 ft tall).and the distance from my shoulder and arm to steering wheel set up is perfect.

I love the new steering assembly, and I was wondering are they hard/expensive to put in? How much time and $ will I have to devote to that job?

its not too bad. just have to have the right tools including torx bits. people usually install it themselves... its against the law to remove a perfectly good airbag.

it was pretty easy to put in my eg. and im a dumbass. didnt kno wat i was doing but i figured it out. just didnt wire up the horn (too lazy). i think theres a write up in the FAQ.

NRG SHORT HUB-$90
NRG QR-$100
NRG LOCK-$100
PERSONAL STEERING WHEEL-$230
TOTAL-$520

there are cheaper setups but i personally wouldnt trust them. (not that NRG is the best, but good quality for the price IMO)

So do you have to buy the quick release kit and short hub separate, or does the short hub kit come complete with quick release?

I'm looking to buy one for my new wheel but it doesn't say on their website if you need to buy the two separate.
