Default Getting no power

Hello all,
I am new to the forum and I hope someone can point me in a good direction. I have a 1994 Honda Prelude S that has been sitting for about a month or two without being started. I tried to start it today and I am getting nothing at all. Will not crank, no power, lights, dashboard, etc... nothing!

I took the battery up to a local shop and they tested it and it was bad so I got a new one. I installed the new battery, and I am still not getting anything. I did not even get a spark of life when I attached the terminals.

BTW, it is currently about 32 degrees outside, so I am not sure if this is contributing or not. The car has sat in the past for long periods of time and it cranked right up.

Any ideas on where to start with this?

Thanks in advance!
Jay

First check your battery fuse. And make sure your battery connections are tight.

My + connector is loose, but it is as tight as it will go. It fits snug, but I can move it around with my hands and can pull it off without much effort. It has been this way for a while and was this way before I started having issues though. How hard are those to replace?

looks like it might be the battery fuse. it was blown. what would cause this?

Just replaced the battery fuse and it cranked right up! Scared the crap out of me, nothing like the alarm coming to life with your head under the hood! Thanks all for you input, it is greatly appreciated!
