Default anyone in CT wanna change my clutch???

For a little while, I've been running my car with some difficulties, and I've been told it's the clutch but I would like to know what everyone else thinks...

Sometimes (randomly), ill stop, for example at a gas station, and it will not let me go into the gearbox.. not one gear will it let me in. So, i'll turn off the car, put it in gear, start it up, and it will shift.

Sometimes it will shift fine after I do that, sometimes it will still sort of be locking up and not let me smoothly into gears.

However, what really gets me is, no matter how bad it is, if i let it sit for long enough it sort of goes away, like last night i wouldnt shift worth a crap now this morning it shifts like brand spankin new.

I got 204,000 miles on this clutch, so im thinkin it might be that, but I would just like to know before I get it done

BTW anyone in CT wanna change my clutch for some $ (if that is the problem)

I am a little reluctant to say that it is the clutch.

I would look into the clutch master and the slave.

thats what I am thinking, but how do I test those things?

I saw fluid on my firewall in the back of the clutch petal that came out of the master but I haven't really been leaking fluid

Well if there is fluid then the master probably has a problem. But many people believe you should replace both the slave and master at the same time.

The slave is cheaper and easier to replace.
