p28 came in today, theres a problem though, what does a52 mean... because i didnt want an automatic ecu... that would be no good to me... please tell me that the p28 a52 ecu is NOT an automatic ecu, who would want an automatic ? get back to me asap, thanks!

 

alright, just got done googling it.. bad news.. its an automatic ecu... so ill send it back and have you send me a 5 speed, hope to hear from you soon

 

A p28 is a p28. If you're going to chip it the ecu will automatically turn to five speed. If you're going to use it as a stock p28 all you gotta do is cut out jumper rp18 and it will be five speed. I have been doing it for years. Im on my i phone right now so i cant get pm's

another gentlemen on h-t is telling me that crome wont change the fact that the ecu is an automatic ecu... in fact he claims i must "convert" the ecu to a manual ecu, is this true?

 

the rp18 has to be cut and it will make it 5 speed .
