Default New Brake calipers not fitting 96 civic EX stock rotors

I recently got a pair of calipers off of a 97 civic HX. these were the only ones available at my local yard. they are not lining up with my stock 96 civic EX rotors. the pads are about 1/4 of an inch further out than the rotors go. so they not reaching all the way down to the inner wear mark. Also the rotors are not reaching the outer edge of the pads. Also when i tighten them all the way down they bind up the rotor. I compressed the piston and opened the caliper while no pressure was present. I thought that all civics 92-00 were interchangeable when it comes to brakes. It seems I have the wrong brake assembly for these rotors any help please

The calipers are too small. You need EX or Si calipers (Integra ones are better and will work too).

What he said^^^ Hx has smaller front brakes than ex/si.
