shifter problems... PLEASE HELP..

Default shifter problems... PLEASE HELP..

ok so i recently had to put my single cam back in.. when i hooked up the linkage it is very loose when u are sitting in the car and put it in gear u can move the shifter all around.. the car driver doesnt pop out of gear or any thing like that. its just the shifter is really loose and when u let it go no matter what gear it is in it goes back to the nutural position. im selling the car in a few days and need help asap.. thanks a million guys..

make sure your bushings are good, usually this is the answer to this problem. and make sure you have a tension pin (bitch pin) in for your shift linkage not a bolt and nut..

r u talkin about the bitch pin near the tranny.. and that bushing is a honda part isnt it..

yes near the tranny.. we were on short time an put a bolt an nut in there for 1 day and it felt like poop.

last i checked i dont think the local automotive store had them. honda or energy suspensions, check ebay there are a couple other companies out there.

its the bitch pin, theres a reason its in there so tight, and i found out why when i tried using a bolt and nut instead and i had the same problem. but the bitch pin back in and it will be back to normal

ok so i put the car in the air and the bitch pin is in tite and stuff but the the bolt that goes thru the bottom of the shifter to the shift linkage is tite but still loose . could this be the problem.????

whatever is loose, tighten it down it just sounds like somethings loose in the linkage
