B18c1 swap 40k miles
ok i have a crx with a gsr swap and i have no idea wat the f is going on but my batteries draining any ideas???? and how would i find out an error code on a gsr ecu it has no light or does it please let me know and my buddies crx does the same thing why does it do this and what can we do??
if your battery is draining while the car is off, it could be a ground leak.
Regarding your CEL, your ECU blinked error codes on the cluster, not on the ECU like OBD0 cars. You can either do a cluster swap, and wire appropriately, or get one of those switches with a bulb from radio shack and wire it up to the ECU. I don't remember which ECU pins you use, but they are on rywire.com somewhere. It might be at the last part of the OBD0 to OBD1 directions...

unfortunately, to be honest.... looking for a parasitic draw is one of the most challenging things in regards to working with vehicles. IMHO
if you ordered a harness from someplace double check with them that you did everything correctly. if you did it yourself then google for suggested ways to test for it.
its not impossible but it will take time. it could really be any component in the car, but since you recently did a swap its probably the ECU or a sensor on the engine.
assuming the car was 100% ok before you did it, of course.
for the codes, again that would matter if you did it yourself, or bought a harness.
on my bro's obd-1 conversion, they gave him a switch, that causes the check engine light in the cluster to flash so he can read his codes.
as long as your check engine light is correctly connected, IIRC there are two pins you simply "jump" or can connect using the "paper clip trick" which will cause the codes to flash in the cluster.
you can use the same method the EG and DC guys use at that point since you basically running OBD-1. except you wont have the 2 pin harness like they do inside the vehicle, so as stated above you have to jump the 2 pins directly at the ecu, which is really just doing the same thing.
that will allow you to see your codes. on the bright side tho, something that just occurred to me, if lets say you reversed a wire it could be causing both your code and the draw at the same time. that would be cool.
further testing on your part, and more information is needed to further answer your question.
