Default power steering removal

So, i just got done removing my power steering...so i thought.

I bought my car with working power steering, and after a little bit or researching, i came to the conclusion that removing the ps makes your car a wee bit faster. (It did)
Then, I notice that my car is alot harder then other car w/o power steering. Then i did some more research and found out that i needed a non power steering rack....? huh? (what's that)

All i did was remove steering racket, belt and resovoire and 2 hose connected to it and i thought i was good to go. Come to find out that im leaking a shitload of fluid still. Where are all the fluid comming from and am i able to drain it out somewhere

Can someone explain to me the proper way to do it or what i can still do so it's been remove the proper way.

Thanks guy, need this answer before it gets dark so i can drive to school tomorrow. TIA

you would. but then you are hauling around that PS for no reason. I believe you can get a steering rack from a honda civic cx, thats what i have to do.

The belt is what puts the extra pull on the crank pulley, without the belt, theres no way for the PS to pull power.

I pulled my power steering in my 93 si.

Get one of these. When you remove your ps pump wour rack needs to be chaged also. There is still fluid in them. manual or not. Just no pressure to assist you to turn the wheel.
