Default what do I need to convert my Hasport cable converted tranny back to hydraulic?

I have the Hasport kit and I find that my new Stage2 plus Spec clutch has a stupidly hard pedal feel, even compared to the Proactive six puck clutch it is replacing. What parts do I need to restore the Type R transmission back to hydraulic, what do I need to do, where can I find the parts? Thank you.

You need to have a custom clutch master cylinder. custom clutch pedal (possibly), custom hardlines/soft lines, and you'll need to add the slave cylinder back to the transmission.

I was talking with a friend of mine and he is of the opinion that the harsh pedal feel has nothing to do with the clutch not having a hydraulic cylinder and being cable driven. He points out that the first-gen 88-93 B-series engines were cable tranny setups, and even though the engine is a a 97 B18C, it should not be much different, being based on the original B16. And also that the hydraulic boost would assist with engagement, and have nothing to do with the clutch pedal stroke, as depressing the pedal pushes the clutch back away from the flywheel. The clutch will engage, but the pedal is stiff all the way through the stroke. The shop says they have checked the clutch pedal cable and it is not tweaked or twisted. What is going on with my clutch?

your pedal brackets more then likely loose or broken. its a common thing to fail on our cars and would come back with the same symptoms you describe.

either that, or maybe the bolt on the linkage (hasport bracket/linkage of front of tranny) that's only supposed to be 19 ft/lbs got overtightened.

that i think is the reason that 50% of people hate the c->h conversion bracketry.

Looking at the JHPUSA website, there seems to be a dividing line between the first gen B-series engines which had a cable driven clutch and the second-gen engines which are hydraulic driven clutches. What is the difference between them? JHP offers cable clutches for the first gen and hyd clutches for the 2nd- but what would happen if you ordered a clutch for a '97 Type R engine, but bolted it up to a transmission that had the Hasport hyd-to-cable conversion? (My setup) Is there anything different about a 2nd-gen '97 Type R engine that would make it physically more difficult to push the clutch pedal down with cable actuation, instead of the factory hydraulic setup?
