went 500 miles overdue on oil change
and, car started running sluggish, idle was horrible , and got a vtec spool code.
idle would jump when braking, and then it would go down to almost stalling then jump again.
the oil change help against the sluggisg fell, but still get horrible idle. has anyone gone through this?
also will replace solenoid gasket soon as i can
problem fixed, del sol roof leak got ecu soaked. was giving about 9:1 air/fuel

Yeah, that's not because you went too long on an oil change. Your engine doesn't die after 3000 miles, its just better for it to change more often. Sounds like your problems are unrelated.
well you should give us more detailed info...how many miles on the car? what kind of oil? what oil filter? what is the car used to? and also, how long in terms of months has it been?
i change mine every 3 months, where i usually drive under 2k miles

wow, i bet you can even tell a difference because you didn't get your tires rotated 200 miles ago huh? give me a break. just because you didn't change it when it was scheduled to doesn't mean your car is going to fall apart. hell, when i bought my stratus it had 42,xxx on it, the sticker in the window said next oil change due 21,xxx. and it ran fine. i did change the oil, and noticed no difference. so i'm sure what ever difference you "feel" that you can notice is just your consience.

OMG thanks for the laughs.... oil lasts much longer than 3000miles. The oil companies and lube shops give that interval. I change my oil every 7000miles and my Prelude has 180,000miles.
