Default Anyone ever heard of type one racing?

yea so i was just looking at AJ-racing.com and i came across some expensive brand called type one racing. i was just wondering if this is a very well known brand or if it is any good and if these are usdm mechendises or JDM stuff. PLease fill me in if anyone knows anything about this brand I need to know because i was going to buy headers soon and i want to get the best possible headers for my FG2 SI.

you know DC sports headers are just like stock headers. DC sports makes the same headers for every car they make headers for. And since DC sports is a universal brand they dont just specialize in hondas they specialize in everything else making it harder for them to just focus on one specific kind of brand.

WTF are you talking about? DC does have a R&D dept (research and development) that looks into great detail about each new application they work. Yes they work with all different makes of vehicles, but does that make them any less effective.....NO. That header has been proven to work great on the new Si.

"In 2001, Spoon opened "Speed Shop Type-One" across the street from the Spoon headquarters. This shop specializes in modifications to Honda's "Type-R" vehicles and other performance oriented Honda's which include the Civic Type-R, Integra Type-R, Accord Euro-R and NSX-R. However, Spoon has also modified non-R vehicles like the Civic SiR, Honda S2000, Honda Legend and the Honda Fit/Jazz. Type-One is Ichishima's vision of how a Spoon Sports dealer should be. And that vision is the offer of a "complete tuned car, not just individual parts thrown in without consideration of whether they will work in harmony or simply interfere with each other." Also, Ichishima wants to make it known this shop was not created to sell parts, but to provide customers with Type-One's installation skills and know-how of Spoon products."

I'm not sure about their gains, but I hear they are a pretty good company. Here's a clip of their exhaust on a Type-S. One of the best-sounding IMO.

Alot of aftermarket companies do that. And my DC Race Header is MUCH better than the stock header. It is far less restrictive allowing for a pretty good jump in power.

What a ridiculous comment to make!

I'm surprised that RICO or cnyej1 didn't say anything but; our cars only have one header. I'm really not trying to be a dick. I just see that you are a noob, and I'm trying to help you learn, so that you don't get bitched at in the future. It's just a header.

WTF are you talking about?

Type One Racing is not in any shape or form related to Spoons Type One. They are very different companys. A and J is Type One Racing AKA T1R. There parts are up there in price, track tested, very well made and if you buy from a dealer other than A and J you don't pay retail.

I have their 70mm Exhaust for the FG2, sounds amazing, great quality.....Try R and D Motorsports for T1R products, they are a sponsor on here. Great prices and fast shipping.

Im sorry when someone types out "Type One" and expensive I just assume they mean Type one associated with Spoon. Everyone I have ever came into contact with has always referred to the "other" company as T1R.

Besides on Aj-racing.com they refer to it in as T1R.....do you see why I assumed he meant the actual Type one?

Taken from AJ racing:

T1R Power Header - Honda Civic Si 06+ FG2
T1R Power Header - Honda Civic Si 06+ FG2

So dont play me off like im an idiot.

Yup, just messing with you man. You had said WTF are you talking about so I thought I would lol.

Prolly close in quality. But like I said, most people never pay the prices from A and J racing. You can find their products at better deals from HT sponsors

technically thats not true.. each tune coming of the head is considered a "header" so technically our cars do have "headers" since there are more than one ...lol sorry i just had to bust ur *****, but he's not totally wrong...

WRONG. Each tube coming from the header is the HEADER TUBE.....these all merge down into one big pipe called the collector. The entire setup is still referred to as a HEADER.

While on V6, V8 engines, etc., they are called HEADERS due to the fact that there are two separate flanges that connect to each side of the head.

These are HEADERS................

This is a HEADER................
