i have a 94 civic with d15b put the motor in myself now i'm looking into a y8 swap and have many questins first of all i have a p28 with obd conversion harness and a vtec solenoid will my stock d15 wiring harness work ..i heard vtec is a bitch to wire would i be better off getting a z6 harness and using it... second i have a complete d16y7 that is locked up can i swap parts like intake man. throttle body and sensors over to the y8...and finally would the y7 tranny be better then my stock d15 tranny...

From my readings yes! But you have to remember the motor is OBDII and the car is OBDI. I heard that I need to run an engine harness from a 92-95 EX/Si along with a P28. I still havent found out how to wire the 4 wire O2 sensor and knock sensor. I apologize but I'm trying to save myself some money. Thanks.
