im looking at 5 acura tsx's and a few rsx-s but if i do a frank bulid ima need to buy an rsx-s and a tsx, but a guy i know made 196hp with the frank build which is good but a k20 makes the same so why wud i go with the k24/k20 build? im kinda new to the k-seires world, never cared too much until some guy wanted to trade his k24 civic hatch for my gsr integra, but my car has more invested and his is crappy and is salvage, only his engine is great besieds that not worth it

you need a acution account which costs $200 per year, doing it this way will save you lots of money, theres no way ima buy a k24 or k20 motor, i rather buy the wrecked car, take the motor and still sell other good parts and save

you would have so much more tq with the same hp. lots faster.

but i thought that the tsx motor was already the best of both worlds with it having real vtec. you would need the rsx transmission though.

your advantage with the k24 is when your hp curve and increased torque. k20 is of course higher revving and works better with the good k trannies (itr and type s) the k24 and itr trans are a bad match even the type s makes the motor rev pretty high. just depends what u want.

just because you have short gears does not mean you have to rev high to use them.

ya you probaly seen it in my build thread, i posted pics and talked about it, but ya i told the guy today, im like man, im bascially giving u a great deal, im losing big time, i dont no why he doesnt wanna trade, o well his loss, ive gotten 9k offers for my car, but didnt want to sell at the time, he still doesnt beilve me that if we trade he can sell my car for more then he can sell his,

and no doubt my cars worth more than his- mines clean, clean title, and a ton of stuff done to it, his is salvage and has bad paint job and its been hit in the rear, im willing to lose a lil but i dont get why hes not grabbing at a great deal like this, and i beat him 3 cars with my gsr integra, with 2 ppl in my car, and he says my cars slow, im like what?? ok it might feel slow to you, cuz he also has a new m3 and a 400whp gsr hatch, so of cousre my cars gonna feel slow to him cuz he has cars with massive power, and when he gets into mine it doesnt fell as fast, but my car has great power for my na setup,

but back to topic, i know a k24/k20 frank build is better but i dont no if i can get a tsx and a rsx-s at the same time, thats why im like ok which is better for my situation, thanks guys

how much can you get each car for.. Would it be cheaper just to get a k24 swap and find a k20a2 head somewhere?/

well if i get the tsx, id need the type s head and tranny, that isnt gonna be cheap, id rather then buy both cars and sell parts off them to make up for lost money etc.

Good idea! Just wanted to chime in for the k24/k20a idea though. It really does rip!

why dont you just get the tsx and then just buy a type-s tranny for like 600ish.

the heads should be about the same

ya it has lsd but i know i can find cheaper, but if i dont trade that guy with the k24 ek ill buy a wrecked rsx-s and just buy a k24 block, or just turbo the k20, its better than buying the tsx and needing a k20 head and trans, i save money and time doing it this way, unless i trade that guy then im SET!!!!
