Default spark plugs change

I was wondering how often are we suppose to change our spark plugs? My friend's car is a 2005 civic ex and the dealership said they are platinum spark plugs and don't have to be changed til 100k. Are all ex's, lx's and dx's the same spark plugs? I have about 37k on my lx and have not changed the spark plugs yet.

Default Re: spark plugs change (mrtrinh)

its pretty much the same as the timing belt article posted earlier.....

spark plugs dont have to be changed til about 100k miles...more or less...

but i would just change them now, get the denso iridium spark plugs...pricey but worth it...

and then you dont have to worry about changing them again probably for as long as you have your car....

thats of course unless you keep your car for a long time....
