Rod in trunk

THere is a rod that disconnected in my truck and i need to know how to put it back on. It is from the passenger side pull lever to put the seats down. How do i reconenct it?

Is it the thing that keeps the side cushion in place? I like to push in the middle, and jam the top one in. If your bottom one's not in, just kinda lift it up and push it in, the cushions pretty flexible.
