Clutch change - Flywheel question
I just finished pulling the old clutch, and had full intentions of taking the old flywheel to our local machine shop to be resurfaced. The guy there said $50CAD, and he'd have it done in about two hours.
My question is, the flywheel on there looks perfect. The previous fibre plate left it in a prefectly flat, grooveless, mirrored finish. Do I even need to get it resurfaced, or can I save myself the $50?.. or is it imparitive that I get it done if the wheel's like that?
Thanks!

its not supposed to look "mirrored" its supposed to be klike a brake rotor (kind of) after its turned, but with a different pattern, and i dont know about 2 hours to resurface it, i had mine done in under 10 minutes, cost me only 20bucks

Shat. I'm not too sure what to think. I was under the impression that as long as it was perfectly flat, I should be okay.
I'm more worried about the $50 than anything.
That's like... a couple tanks of gas... haha

Always resurface the flywheel when installing a new clutch or you most likely will experience premature clutch failure!
It should say so on the paperwork for your new clutch.

For the time it took, I got it done anyways. While it was at the shop, I pulled all my useless AC stuff out.
That basically shaved about 50lbs off.
New clutch grabs HARD. I like...
