Default What cams / camshafts are available for the d16a6? I prefer new not regrind

I tried searching and nothing so...

Just wondering what manufacturer is out there that still makes new from billet cams for the D16A6? I remember back in the days that Crower and Zex made them but correct me if I am wrong, I believe they are no longer available. Also if they are available from who and how much?

Also my goal is just to have a little more HP and TQ. I don't expect much but every little bit helps.

Just to give you specs on the car/engine:
Street/stock full rebuild from Comptech USA
Tanabe Exhaust
AEM intake
Skunk2 camgear
DC 4-2-1 Header
Apex'I AFC (not tuned, but will tune when I get the cam)

Thanks in advance

Off the top of my head, the most power out of Non-VTEC SOHC cams are regrinds unless you go for crazy high lift / duration, sorry.

Crane actually makes new cams if you don't want regrinds. But I don't know how good these cams are (or, for that matter, how good ANY of the Crane import cams are). Nobody seems to use them, and I don't know if maybe there is a REALLY good reason for that.

Crane cams are just fine, they have been making cams for decades.
They just don't make any non-vtec D series cams.

You will only find regrinds or customs out there. Good luck.

Crane actually DOES make cams for the A6.

As for whether they are good or not, I guess my main question here is whether they actually make good power. I guess that I am somewhat skeptical here, given the fact that nobody seems to use Crane Cams for imports. ESPECIALLY when you consider that their DOHC VTEC cams are ALOT cheaper than more commonly used cams such as Skunk2.

Thanks! Gonna give crane a call tommorrow to see if they are still available. I checked out d-series.org and someone said they may be discontinued and that the cranes website is not updated.

ya youre not going to find A6 new cores right now. I have a source but its just too expensive for most A6 guys. I have 2 that I'm keeping for myself but even I dont want to use them since theyre not really necessary yet in most of the setups we want to build. The cost of new cores with the final finish will be in the $400 range, which I feel isnt worth doing since most arent willing to pay that much anyways.
