Default Car wont start.

My car was working fine a couple days ago (1990 CRX SI) then the RPM started to jump randomly like all the way down then up while I was driving and it would hesitate and almost stale. At idle it would start to jump up and down. Then sometimes I would get a check engine light but if I turned the car off it would go away. I changed the ground on the battery and the one that is on the valve cover. I know its getting fuel becuase I have a fuel gauge on it. It wants to start sometime but it wont and it makes like a farting sound out the intake. Can it be the dizzy. I dont know what to do I need this car becuase its my job. Please help me fast I wanna cry. Thanks

What codes are you getting from the Check eng light? That'll give you a much better idea of whats wrong with the car.

What is your fuel pressure?

I changed the ground wire on the battery and the ground that goes to like the valve cover and frame or whatever. I didnt really have time to check anything else cuz it started to get dark and freezeing cold. I am going to check the plugs tomorrow morning see if they have spark. What else could it be if its not the dizzy.

Happened to me, the farting sound coming out of the dizzy... ended up being the screw that held my rotor in somehow disintegrated so the rotor was spinning freely, might want to check that out..

I have spark and the car started. But its started rough and it was blowing out blue smoke. There was oil in the spark plug wires and spark plugs. Can it be valve over gasket I did a oil changed couple days ago could it be from that cuz of all the new detergents in the oil ate the old gasket????
