Default help me, im a dumb rookie

alright i am buying a 91 accord from a buddy of my for $50 and it needs a new motor. I dont know anything about hondas, i am used to working on chevys and oldsmobiles with V8s and rear-wheel drive, so i am going to need some help. I was just wondering what would be the best performing motor to look for in a junkyard that would fit right into this accord. I would like to look for something with a stock turbo but i dont know what engines had this that would fit in this car, like i said, i know nothing,

I don't have an answer for you, but I do have a suggestion. Sometimes posting with at least a hint of your question in the title will yield better results. Try reposting with something like "Best swap into a '91 Accord?".

better yet, read the faq at the top of the page, it will have all of the answers to any question you could have. also, no motor had a stock turbo, so expect to shell out more money if you're looking in that direction

Welcome to the forums, they frown upon double posts, just an FYI.

Nothing from Honda comes turbo stock.

The best, most practical swap would be to find your car in the junkyard, and put that engine in there. It will drop right in and plug right up. When you get into hybrid swaps, fabrication and wiring comes into play, which wouldn't be your case.
