Default Honda i-LINC (ipod adapter)

Hey guys, Great Forum.

I will be buying a 08` Civic Si very soon and i was looking at purchasing the
Honda i-LINC (ipod adapter).

Has anyone used it?

I read that once installed it will sit in your glove box and you can navigate thru you`re playlists from the stereo or steering wheel buttons. If anyone has any information they can bring forward about this product, that would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks, Carl

Ive had the old Honda MusicLink installed in my civic and it gets very frustrating, you can only browse your ipod if you have the software from Honda installed on your PC. It reads the alphabet over the speakers and when you get to the letter of the artist/album/playlist/genre you want you can then play the music. You cannot control ipod from itself nor does it display any info on the screen. Honda stopped making them because of customer issues. (not knowing how to operate it) They have a new one coming out in the spring (thats what a Honda rep from AH told me) I have looked at a few aftermarket options and they look to be the ideal adapter (shows info on screen , control from radio, factory intergration)
