Common problem. If all you need is a bit of clearance, then you can hit the cross memeber with a hammer and make room for the header. As long as all you need is a bit of clearance it will be OK. If you need 1 or more inches to make it fit, you need an aftermarket cross member or another header that fits.

Some people cut a section off the front crossmember to save money. The right way is to get an aftermarket crossmember or traction bar.

But the choice is yours

*4-1 power!!!
*better traction/launches
*reduced weight...

went a tad bit over board did ya??
all you have to cut off is the small lip on the crossmember, then just hammer it if you need more room, i managed to hammer mine in about an inch and that cross member is plenty beefy, it'l hold up just fine as long as you dont cut a chunk out of it.

well belive me, that header was way to big for that little space...so i had to cut a piece out of it (otherwise i had to wait for 2 month till i got a decent traction bar, we don`t get parts as easy as you some times)...but don`t worry i reinforced the mid section of it and then weld it together...so i killed 2 birds with 1 shot

1 made the OEM cross-member lighter
2 made a really big 4-1 header fit my engine ( 4-1 power)

order it now, you have something decent to hold you off for 3 months. i just put on my traction bar and it completely got rid of my wheel hop best 300 dollars ive spent this year so far.
