Default wheel spin

This maybe a stupid question to some, and im sorry but im a noob.

So the otherday i had my car on jacks, i was bleeding the coolant. Anyway, so i started the engine, and when i release the clutch, with the car in neutral the wheels started spinning, is this normal

yea uh... I don't think thats normal. I think that if you're in neutral... you shouldn't get power to your wheels to cause them to spin. I think you can only do that if you're in gear.

I could be wrong......

all i wanna know is what car do you drive/work on that when its in neutral the tires spin from the tranny and not just naturally. i think maybe you need to give out good info

this is normal because of the viscosity of the trans fluid because the parts to move together and the wheels to spin. it will do it less if the transmission is warm
