No Temp Guage!
Got sum questions somebody please help!
the h22 isn't reading any temperature, does not reach optimum temp. does not move go up at all.. gauge just stays still. .. drove around for several miles. I just replaced my coolant temp sens about a month ago, --so im wondering if there is a another sens specifically for the gauge itself? Am I missing something. Went thru my Chiltons, I'm stumped. Also thought of possible thermostat...
--Heater works in Car
--upper radiator hose gets hot
--car doesn't smell like its over heating but i didn't drive it too long either.
-- no CEL
whats the deal??

well first off, you can check to see if the thermostat is working correctly by grabbing the bottom hose, if it is warm then you know the thermostat is working. What sensor did you replace? The one in the front of the motor mounted on the waterneck?
bottom hose seems cold, when you grab it coming out of radiator. so could that mean the thermo is stuck open? or closed? I replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor, the one underneath the dizzy, about 2 months ago... Note: when the coolant sens went out last time, there was a CEL.. so its making me think that its not that, again. You would think if it were any sensor i would have a check engine.
somebody help! bump. i need 2 see if im over heating or if i need a new sensor for the guage.. or the fuse. I looked at all fuses but they all good. the gauge lights up so i kinda ruled that out anyway.
