Does anyone know of a good engine that I could put into my 1992 Honda accord Lx? Let me know thx.

 

can you be any more specific...what are you going for speed or reliability and gas milage(DD)

 

i would prefer both but more speed than anything.

 

Some type of h22 would be the best of both worlds. Do a search and find out which one would be best for your car. Keep in mind though that you will be looking at spending a pretty good chunk of change (probably more than the car is worth) unless you are pretty mechanical and can find some good deals.

The h22 will net ~40whp....but your car will still be realatively slow. If your motor is already shot you might want to go for it. If it was my car I would work on the suspension..imo it is more fun for less money.

Just my $.02 it's your car do what makes you happy.

 

my car is already lowered...i just need a new motor and yeah i can get a motor for like $500 or less brand new...i just wanted to know what kind would be best.

I almost fell of my chair laughing when I read this. Not to be a doubter but I don't think that you are going to be able to get a Brand New H22 for $500. A brand new H block alone, no pistons, no head and no crank is list price at around $1800.00. If you can get a used H for $500 people are going to want to know how.

If your looking for a quick gain of a few HP do what everyone else is doing and go for an H22 swap. It's been done and there are just a couple...lol threads on the internet on how to DIY the swap. There is even some guy that is actually charging $30 bucks for some print out of a parts list and his how to. You'd be a sucker if you paid for something that is posted for free on the internet.
