well, i'm not compleatly clueless, i have a sprayer, and my shop has paint booth (its usually used for furniture so it;s kina small). I'm not looking for anything show quality, just something that looks a uniform color from 5 feet away. The only panels that need painting are (thankfully), there easier ones to remove (doors, trunk, hood) to remove, so i think i will remove them and paint them one by on then re-install.

in that case, i'd say go for it. . as long as you dont need to paint the bumpers you should be fine. (flex agent and hardeners go into this)

I don't need to paint the bumpers, but i am cosidering it, years of uv exposure have turned the bumpers and spoiler from red to pink. It's not just my car though, I saw another red 2nd gen lude the other day with pink bumbers.
