Default tranny swap info

my buddie has a 05 civic coupe d17a1 non vtec ( not to sure engine code correct) newho somewhere along the line someone told me that the tranny off the d17 would match up with the k20. let me know if thats true and if so were to get a good k20 on the cheap

it wont work because the transmissions are opposite from each other for one thing, pretty sure bolt pattern dosnet match up, and 7th gen trannys suck

1. K-series engines spin the opposite direction.
2. The transmission is mounted on the opposite side of the engine.
