Opinions on buying a 02+ RSX-S
Sup guys, i dont have a good background of the RSX-S so i wanted to start here and see where it goes. I'm helping my soon to be little brother in law find a RSX-S. What parts usually go bad after 50,000 miles? What other things should i look for? Would most of you guys recommend buying it from private owner or dealer? I know private owned cars are always going to be cheaper, but you wont be able to recieve the full manufactor warranty correct? LMK what you guys think

Why not the '05-'06 RSX Type-S?
It's a very smooth driving car, excellent shifting, great stereo, much better ratio (4.7 final drive), leather racing-like seats, and luxurious like the s2000. All of which make it a great daily driver. They are a bit quicker than the old ones and has a few OEM parts that can be made to resemble a DC5R in terms of performance (i.e. DC5R camshafts, b-pipe and muffler from the exhaust, 4.77 final drive ratio, crankshaft pulley, and the intake snorkel duct). If you choose to get the A-Spec kit, it will include a DC5R suspension and wing. The kit isn't just available for the '05-'06 models, it's also available for the '02-'04 models as well.

I don't really know much about parts going bad after a certain mileage, but I do know one thing. With a good intake, header, exhaust and tune, you'll easily put down 250 hp (somewhere around there) without a single problem.

luxurious like the s2000. </TD></TR></TABLE> The S2k is far from luxurious. LoL As for the Op, unless the car had the **** driven out of it, everything should be golden at 50k. I like the '02-'04 body style, but I'de prefer the '05 in terms of performance, it's just a little bit better.
