I have Tein Basics on my accord and the ride is to soft. I was just sitting around wondering what would happen if i was to order some GC coils with a custom rate. Then take my Tein spring off and put the GC spring on. I just want to hear some feed back on it. If it was to blow my Tein's i would just go with a Koni or Kyb Something with adjustable damping. What i should have done the first time but i was in a big hurry to change my set up .

 

first you have to do 1 thing, call tein and ask them whats the stiffest spring you can put on there shock without moving out of its effective damping range. its usually 2KG over its current rate...

 

This is what i found for the spring rate for Tein's for my accord 392 / 224 lbs/in and i was thinking about a 450/300 GC setup to stiffing it up a a little bit. As for the idea it seems to me like it wouldn't hurt to try it. Maybe i would get lucky and find what im looking for.

 

thats not too much of an increase, i would still call tein to make sure, there techs are pretty good about that
