Default My R the past 3 months Disaster to Glory lotsa pics

Well 2007 was a bad year for Moi, and it ended with a few bangs... literally.

First she was hammered with hail the size of tennis *****.

And Then i sideswiped someone a week later.

And then two months later.....

Roof panel replaced, bonnet replaced, fenders replaced, door replaced, fresh windshield, new rubber trim around all the windows, fresh paint job with everything resprayed including door handles and mirrors..... windows out respray too. Lots of paintless dent removal and we have what is a brand spanking new kinda exterior condition R.

oooh they even replaced the rear badge for me, and polished the front badge.

Paintowrk is flawless.

Just need to let it dry and then do some minor swirl removal and install a clear bra.

So there we have it, when I get her cleaned up i'll take some proper pics, these were taken before the sun went down.

Is Moi the name of your car? And are you flying out to Expo?

Moi refers to Me, I haven't named her yet. She is just known as she I guess.

I would love to fly out to expo, but I'm not sur eI can get the time off.

If I fly out can i get in on a few laps with one of you guys as passanger ??? that would make it very enticing to come, could visit friends in Canada too.

very clean comeback. if you dont mind me asking did you have to replace the quarter panel windows to get new rubber trim? Or does Acura sell it separately?

The painters used the wrong paint code it looks like. Should have been NH0.

As far as I know the rear quarter windows are one piece with the molding and are quite expensive. My DC was broken into and the dealer wanted something like $460 for the rear quarter. I bought a used one from a 2001 LS for like $150 with super clean moldings.

A single rear quarter glass costs $130 per side from Son's Acura. I looked it up earlier today.

LOL $150 for a used window, you got ripped off. I replaced both of mine when I had my car painted and you can get brand new quarter panel windows from Acura for $132.

They used the same rear quarter glass, not sure how they did it. Still had the same tint and stickers on it, but I could see a little bitof glue on the inside so i know they took them out.

Keep her safe
