help with accell ignition
ok iv got accel ignition and has been working for a while now but i recently had to jump start my car and blew the fuse on the ignition control module, i replaced the fuse and it blew another so i put a 15 in instead of a 10 it lasted a while when i was trying to get it started. i have have had no spark the whole time. and yes i check my crank and top dead sensors and are reading just above the minimum oem specs but below the max. this is on a SOHC ZC vtec and ran fine befor the jump. any one know how to trouble shoot these things? or an idea of what it could be?
no i looked for it but lost it when i moved i already thought of that one and i dont wanna pay 140 for another dizzy but i posted i wanted one in my WTB section incase i found one for the right price

what accel system do you have, 300+? this is what i assumed so i checked the owners and install manuals for any type of troubleshooting but its all for rfi,no tach signal and such. i'd be happy to compare voltage and resistance readings with you (my working system to yours). do you have a meter?
yeah i have a volt meter and 300+ system no i dont have manuals. and i do have a tach sig wire but its not hooked up if you would im not good with this particular thing. but i do know i have no spark i keep blowing fuses. so let me know what you want me to do i already went thru every wire that came off the sys, voltage and ohms and amps and nada on the coil
if it keeps blowing fuses something is shorted out. STOP PUTING FUSES IN IT! until you figure out the problem, and never put in a larger fuse than what originally came in it. now what you need to do is take the original ign and tach wires from the dist. and hook them directly to your coil bypassing the box and see if that works. also accell should be able to give you ohm ratings for the primary and seconday of your coil. that way you can check it and see if its good.

yes i have an external coil!!?? wtf why would i just use accel icm?
and yes it stopped blowing fuses after i stoped jump starting it.
and i honestly dont know how to trouble shoot this particular aftermarket electrical stuff works so im trashing it and going back to stock seeing hows im not boosted it didnt make a difference anyways but if i do next time ill go msd... thanks
