I don't think I can et a bike until I move out, rednecks here don't seem to notice people on bikes and kill them, but are CBR250s or CBR400s available in the US?
They were never imported officially and the grey imports go for big bucks ( compared to same year 600's etc ) The closest things Honda imported were the CB1 naked 400 which used the CBR400 motor in a steel tube frame and ( my favorite bike ever
) Hawk GT - essentially a naked RS250 with a Vtwin shoehorned in . The other 400's sold here were the really cool looking Suzuki Bandit 400 ( GSXR 400 motor ) and the Yamaha FZR 400 - still one of the best handling bikes ever , though finding a clean one is getting very difficult .

Thanks, are those good learner bikes for a complete beginner? THe only thing I've ridden close to a motorcycle was a beat up Big Bear 350, and I doubt it is even really close.
If you ever think about getting a CBR250rr or CBR400RR wich is both hard to get in the sates i believe, get a VFR400 or RVF400, much better in my opinion
I dunno if there are any imported in the states, but the inverted fork, pro-arm, and the engine (V4) just makes it alot better than the cbr250rr or the cbr400rr
