rotor with stuck screw
On my stock 89 crx hf rotors there is 2 screws holding it on. The rotor is rusted so bad i can get the screws out. Im using liquid wrench on it right now for a while and see if that will work. But any one got any tips on getting these out?

If you strip out the heads, take a drill or a Dremel tool with a cutting disc and drill or cut off the heads of the bolts, remove the rotor, and then simply twist the threaded portion of the bolt out.
these arnt bolts they are screws where the head is flush with the rotor. (there is 2 of them inbetween the lugnut bolts. Ill take a pic later if needed. but its just a philips head screw that i cant get out. If i try hard i know it will strip. i know i can use the what ever its called to drill it out but i dont wanna have to go buy thoes bits.
get a good sized craftsman phillips head screwdriver. Take a hammer and beat the heads of the screwdriver into the head of the screw. It should come loose. Sears sells a big screwdriver that I have and it works everytime.
you have to use an impact screwdriver... either that or take the screwdriver and hammer it a few times and try screwing it off... repeat the proccess if neccesarry
impact driver would be the best way even if the bolt was stripped it could possibly still take it off, i've done it several times with stripped screws on the rotors

you could use those little screwdriver bits for drills. You can stick them into a drill, or use a socket on them. that gives you more torque, and has worked for me in the past.
no need for screws get em out and leave em out nothing will come to harm they are there to hold it on when the wheel is not bolted on
to all the above. F@ck the screws, all they ever do is seize and cause trouble. Seems like Honda thought of the WORST possible way to hold the rotor on while putting on the wheel. A clip that could be cut off each time is SOOOO much easier to deal with. Later, Overkll
Well, I don't know how it worked on my brothers del Sol then.
His screws came loose, and the rotor wobbled all the hell over.
I think it would be a wise idea to put the screws back in. Anyways, I usually use a torch on them, and then hammer the screwdriver into the screw, then use a belt wrench to wrap around the screwdriver.

Sorry, but you must have not put things back on correctly. The rim gets pushed up against the rotor, which gets pressed up against the hub, as you tighten down the lug nuts. The screws are only to hold the rotor in place while putting on the rim.
MANY cars have floating rotors (mine with the FASTBRAKES kit)/ or simple clips that can be cut off and replaced. The rim may have been loose due to improper torquing of the lugnuts. Did you tighten, take for short drive, retighten. Or at least roll the car and retighten.
Happened to me too, thought my axle was toast, ended up SOMEONE didn't tighten the lugnuts correctly. JMO, Overkl
