Hey guys,

Just picked up a 92 CX hatch yesterday. I came out from dinner last night and couldn't turn the key to "unlock" from the outside of drivers door. I entered through the passenger's side door and tried to open the door from the inside and found the unlock/lock trigger to be moving freely. Pulling on the door latch from both the inside and outside does not open the door either.

I had a similar problem with my CRX awhile back from the outside but I could still open it from the inside and hook the arms back up with the door panel off.

bro so how bout i had this same problem... i had to remove as much of the inner door panel as i could an got the longest screw driver i could find an just went to jabbin away at the mechanism tryna get it... that didnt work, so than i busted out the torch an tried to burn the plastic clips from the mechanism off, that didnt work an almost burnt my car down... than i removed the handle from the outside an just started pullin an tuggin with a coat hanger at the lock **** an it finally opened... i went to junkyard an got a new lock peice for free, didnt steal it but dude just knows me as a regular an wasnt gonna charge me for a lil peice of metal 2 inches long so i got lucky... hopefully u find an easier way than i did, i rocked my door like that for 2 days an about went nuts... GL tho

 

As for the lock/unlock trigger that can be fixed by taking the cover behind the handle off, i done it when i first got mine. Hopefully that would somehow get your door open.

 

i'm having the same problem. ive taken every piece and part from around the lock itself. since the door is closed, there is not way to remove the lock itself beside drilling a hundred holes in the backing plate.

i got the same problem with my drivers side door in my hatch all all u gotta do is pull the hook that attaches to the lock/unlock plastic piece towards u in a certain angle and at the same time pull to the right you will hear it unlock it takes a while to get used to finding the angle but once u get it its no problem sept for havin to go through the passenger door lol you can also relock it the same way i would suggest takin the plastic piece that unlocks/locks the door off so u can handle the hook better my passenger side is startin to get messed up to i need to fix befor i can get in my car at all... hope i helped
