im running a jdm itr swap in a 91 si civic!!! right before vtec hits the car makes a bogging sound and the needle goes nuts, then vtec kicks in!!!!

 

Could be anything....any CEL????

 

check your ecu and your wiring...

and what kind of cams are you using?

 

Have you noticed a fluctuation in your fuel consumption?

 

same thing on my friends eg with gsr i checked everything till it came to dizzy and it seemed like a wire was loose on the the dizzy wasnt completly in

 

fuel consumtion is big, i consumes more fueal than it should! i got my dizzy rebuilt, before i got it running thingking that was my prblem...as for the cams i am running the stock cams....where should i start!!!!!!

 

help anyone else have this problem...ive heard its a blown head gasket...ive noticed this only happens when i punch on the gass!

What ECU and what RPM is VTEC engaging at?

 

im using the itr one ithink its p-73. vtech hits at like 6 in my regular tach..im running my regular vss form my d16a6 engine..can it be that?
