I really need to do some work on my car, but its really cold in my garage . Is it safe to use a propane heater near my car. As far as I know there aren't any leaks. The heater I have looks like this> http://www.sleeping-bags-now.com/deluxe_heater.jpg

dont point it at your car and keep it a few feet away you should be fine...

i just put my BBQ in the garage when i needed to paint and turned it off before i shot

Yeah but you should leave the door open a crack so the gases could escape

I used the same one but guy told me i should have a vent incase of gas build up

 

i've got a 24x24 garage and i use a 30,000 btu salamander heater and it sits like 4 feet from my car...i use the kind of heater you linked to in my fishing shanty just with a smaller propane bottle
