Should be 180-210 psi across all cylinders.

if they are within 10% of each other which they are not they can usually be deemed good results. follow up with a leakdown test and see where the problem lies. those are pretty low numbers unfortunately. are you doing the test properly?

make sure the throttle is opened all the way when doing the test and the battery is fully charged.

battery fully charged so you know the starter is spinning fast enough and press the gas down completely so the throttle is WOT.

yes WOT

also make sure you have spark and fuel disconnected while you do the compression test.

No need to press the gas. Remove your sparkplugs and wires. screw compression tester down into the head. Remove fuse for fuel. Crank the car 4 or more times until it reaches the max amount of pressure.

make sure you have removed all the spark plugs also. the only thing that should be in the spark plug holes is your tester.

pressing the gas pedal to WOT acts as flood clear. that way you dont have to mess with the fuel system.

how does air enter the cylinder without it opened ? Doing a compression test is checked for wear in mechanical parts also. For example a worn cam lobe could casue low compression. Why is that ? The correct amount of air is not entering the cylinder. And how could this air enter the engine correctly without the throttle opened ?

Ill look for the honda method if you disagree.

So how does your car turn over without you pressing the gas? lol

You car will turn over because it uses a starter to turn the engine over. And at idle the engine uses much less air than at WOT. When you open the throttle it allows more air to enter the engine.

Directly from team integra
6) With your foot placed on the gas pedal at WOT (very important!), put the key in the ignition and allow the engine to continuously crank over approximately seven times or until the gauge needle stops moving.

DO you even understand what you are measuring when doing a compression test or how an engine operates ?

you have to have the throttle wide open because you are trying to measure the max compression. when you have the throttle wide open on start up no fuel is added. manufacturers make the fuel map like that in case you flood your engine. it is called flood clear like i said. so you dont need to remove any fuses, just have the throttle wide open to keep the fuel from flowing.

yes it is a clear flood mode however that is not the reason you are wide open. If you go through the steps you will see they remove the fuse as well as go WOT.

You go WOT to allow more air into the cylinders. How hard is that to understand ?

An intellegent debate/ conversion is one thing, its actually something that many of us enjoy. But dont say things on here when you dont know 100% sure that your correct. That is the reason why there is so much bad information online. I

I wasnt refering to you in my last post only in that first small section where i agreed with you partly. Im sorry if you took that the wrong way.

I understand everything you said and i do fully understand what im doing. Its just bothersome that many ppl will sit here and agrue with me about something I know is correct. Im not going to try to inform any more on this subject because its obvious that many people on here dont even want to know that correct way to do something, and will even fight with you about it. So why waste my time.

The best way to determine why the compression is a bit low is to do a leakdown test with a leakdown tester. Look in the FAQ's or search to find more info on a leakdown test.
