I just put in my rear fog light on my car, wired up and all such. my question is my bulb is a 1157 (dual fillament) bulb staying on the low light fil. how can i get it to switch it over to the bright fil? right now i have it spliced into my red/blk wire in my tail light, do i have to splice into the green white one as well?
93 del sol s if its any info needed, and no i tried a 1156 and all it does is pop my fuse

im not sure about dual filiment buld i used the one that came with my rear fog. i intergrated the wiring into a seperate foglights switch as the front fogs so i can turn it on and off and not have it running all the time. i actually here that when you hook it up to tails the bulb will blow now this is just what i was told why im running a switch with it now. the only way to make that work with the other part of the bulb would require so kind of activation which would be like pressing a brake or something the only problem is there is no 3rd wire coming from the rear fog its made to just have one brightnest if im correct

please show us some pics. The 1157 socket has one ground wire, and two positive wires, they control the single or secondary filiments.
I am also planning on making a "custom rear foglight" Integrated style much like the euro EK where they have a normally brighter auxillary bulb inside the tailight such as an 1157, or p21w. I'm planning to use ultra-bright 1w LEDs.

yeh i figured it out my mistake is mistaking one of the wires for a ground when it is actualy already grounded through the base.
no pics quiet yet, I don't know if I like the actual light yet, may need to go smaller
