Class my Racecar for solo
In the morning i will be going over to Hutchinson Is. Ga for the 1st solo of the year. Im gonna drive the racecar over, its only a 20-25 min drive.
the setup is a 98 Civic Dx coupe. I ran FSP for a long while, Now it is gutted and has a B16. Guess ill be at the bottom of the line. XP or modified?
I finished 3rd last year with the car, attending min events possible for championship. we do it by PAX, so looks like i wont be PAX FTD anymore only RAW

If its gutted and by the SCCA book, you will most likely be put in EP.
Edit: Nvm, didnt know that a swap didnt make ep eligible.

My local scca region classes my car as SM because of gutted interior and ASR brace.
Someone on either side must be misinformed
EDIT: PG 104 SCCA 2008 RULEBOOK SM CLASS
Rear passenger seat(s), including restraints and associated
hardware may be removed.

It depends on your definition of gutted. If gutted=took out back seat and belts and left the rest of the interior intact, then SM. If gutted=took out back seat, and belts, and headliner, and carpet, and door panels, then Prepared if a motor that came in that chassis. If the B16 the OP said he has, then XP or DM or EM are the classes available.

Your not reading the rules right.. you can take out the rear seats and seatbelts out... but you cant take out the rear inside liners or the carpet...

its not that im not reading the rules right, it really just depends on how gutted his interior is
it was never really specified, so i said that SM is still an option depending on how gutted the interior is.
