Default Tein RA suspension

Just got these from another honda-tech user. Great condition for being used. I was also surprised at how light these feel, they seem to weigh very little. I had one technical question, wonder if any one can answer it. These springs are 12k in the front and 10k in the rear. I was wondering If I could switch the springs I would like the 12k In the rear and the 10k in the front. I have mostly drag raced my type r and feel that the stiffer springs in the rear would improve my 60fts. what do you guys think, is this a bad idea to mess with the teins.

Just to Keep it Type R realated! Old pic of my Type R

I'm not 100% sure on this, but there might be an issue with the spring lenghts.

Since the front springs are longer than the rear there might be some ride height issues in respect to its adjustability.

Actually, it looks like the main springs are the same length, just different length helper springs.

Depends on if they're valved for certain spring rates F/R, don't know much about the Tein units, but you'll *probably* be ok...

Thats true, but I think you'll be okay. I'd definitely give Tein a call and find out for sure.

I flipped the springs front to back and ran two seasons of sanctioned road racing with them with no ill effects. You won't have any problems.

They used to tell you on the tein site but from memory I believe you are good as long as the spring rates did not differ by more than +-2 kg/mm. The Tein RS's I have came stock with 12/10. I am using 10/14 and it has been fine even though the rear has been a bit beyond spec...

If your going with 17's a 45 series tire looks alot better and rides a Little better, in my opinion.
