JDM F22 swam to JDM h22a qestion!
Hi . I've to swap engine JDM H22 into JDM f22 (both RHD and 2WS ,manual) 94 prelude next week. I would be very grateful if you will answer on my Few questions;
1)Is there big difference in wiring loom?Or do i need to run separate wire for vtec only?
How about all the rest sensors and actuators?
2)Can i just plug in vtec speedo and ECU?
3)Can i bolt on F22 gearbox on H22. I know there is difference in gear ratio, but that car will not go to Drag. How about clutch?
Maybe there is something else what i need to know specific about this swap!
Thank you!

1. Run VTEC and VTEC pressure switch wires.
2. Not sure what you mean by speedo, if you mean the gauge cluster if your car already has the EL type gauges then yes.
3. You can use the F22 gearbox, but it will not accelerate like it should IMO the H23 gears are a good match and they give a little better top end.
4. Your F22 car does not have a knock sensor, you will have to also run that wire. The knock sensor is located directly above the oil filter. You will run one wire from the knock sensor to pin #D3 at the ECU.

No problem man, there may be some other things that we have overlooked but those are your main things first. Good luck. Post up some pics too!!!
a couple more things.. you're gonna need to get at least a p13 ecu if your swap didn't come with one already, otherwise you won't have vtec. The redline on your tach will also be off a bit.. the f22 redlines a little after 6k, the h22 a little after 7k.. it's still usable but something to keep in mind especially once you get the h22 in... you don't want to think you redline at 6 when you could actually go higher..
I crashed my h22 few month ago so I've ECU and every thing just gearbox is bit expletiveed. I will do swap next week than i will put some pictures! Actually how can i put pictures in here?Do i need to save some were if yes than where?I'm not very familiar with that
Thanks agan for info

oh, you should be good then.. just wire your vtec pressure switch, vtec solenoid, knock sensor.. and i think your intake air bypass solenoid..

if you dont run the knock sensor wire to the ecu, will that cause your car to get no spark at the plugs? i have a 93 prelude si v-teh with a f22 block, h22 head and a t3t4 turbo set up. i cant get no spark to the plugs at all!! do you know what else it could be?
well its not because of the knock sensor. Your F22 block does not have a hole for the knock sensor. If you are running a P13 ECU you are f@%cked. You need to figure out why you have no spark first though. after you get your spark issue figured out, you need to get a P28 ECU and get either Neptune or Hondata and HAVE IT TUNED ON A DYNO!!!!!
For every one!!! BE VERY CARE FULL WITH KNOCK SENSOR WHEN DISCONNECTING IT !!!!!
I broke 2 sensors
So far my swap went good.I had to replace all oil seals they all was fu%!
My t-belt tensioner pulleys was bed as well, So i put manual tensioner from dochF22b on h22. Is that good idea using it instead of hydraulic one???and i didn't put on balancer shaft belt cause i oil seals wasn't god and i don't have replacement! Will vibration be bed on idle?
I will put some pictures later next week!

Yeah, i had to tug pretty hard to remove my knock sensor, luckily it came out fine after a little effort. As for the tensioner parts, yes, the manual tensioner is better than the hydraulic one. Why don't you order new seals for the balancer shaft, it's only a couple bucks????
Hi. here is some pictures of my swap
