Need to Match Paint!!!!
Just Recently Baught My Fully Type R Lip Kit for my 04 Type S!!! But Need to budget for paint @ the moment cause the primer grey dont go w/ the pearl!!. So my question is, if i go to Autozone or Kragen n jus buy a rattle can. Which Color would closely resemble my White w/ the pearl?? or should i go to a paint shop an ask them to find a color to closely match the paint w/o the pearl? Thanks GUys!!
yea, not really in a rush to put the thing on but im tryin to get my car done by next week cause i got all my parts now, but ya, im acutally gonna go talk to a shop n get an estimate but my local paint store said i could get my paint in cans n itll run me one hundred soo if the shop cant beat the paint store then i would rather do my own work w/ the rattles. u noe. but thanks for the oppinion tho.
Seriously, take the suggestions and don't be ghetto with a mismatched paint or a primer color.
But if you really must paint it yourself do the best you can and buy a few rattlecans of your specific color from http://www.paintscratch.com
Not too cheap, but it's the best your gonna get for a DIY.
FWIW, premium white pearl is a 3-step paint process in a body shop.

Expect to pay near to $500 or more for a shop to paint your lip kit to match your pearl white car.
I paid about that for two bumpers and side skirts, but even then the paint does not match 100%. So ill have to take it back and have it redone.

If you're really tigh on your budget, any paint shop can match the color if you provide the paint code from the door jamb. It comes in pressurized spray cans. Pearl done correctly, however, is a two stage process, and you might not be happy with the results from your single application cans.
