Default DRLs (Canadian Models)

Just wondering how many of you guys have disabled them?
I'm thinking of disabling mine.

Thanks!

Why would you want to do that ?
It does not rob you of any power ( or so little ) plus higher visibility means higher safety on the road.

I totally agree. Daytime running lights should be on all cars around the world in my opinion. If you ever drive on the highway, you will know that DRL saves lives. On the highway, it is difficult to distinguish a car from the background at far distances...with DRL, you can see them easily.

You would not remove your DRL because of power concerns, as for visability... thats why I have the Philiphs 6000 K HID kit... you can see me from miles away.

DRL
I have heard this before.
Question, what happens when all cars have DRLs? Then will they be just as difficult to distinguish as before DRLs? Are they more visible now due to standing out from the cars not equipped with DRLs?
Just a question, no flames intended...

Actually up here in Canada the great majority of cars on the road have DRL and they are still a lot easier to see. To put it simply, they attract your attention a lot better weither they are close to you or far away.
I never understood why some poeple don't like them. No flame intended either, just wondering

Huh? You plan on turning on your HID's during the day? I thought your were concerned with power, so how does disabling DRL and turning on your headlights help?

I pulled mine out because I needed a place to mount my still UNMOUNTED catchcan....

it's the resistor box right next to the clutch reservoir..if that's out....then I'm pulling more things out from under the dash too....

Might as well..... Makes no diff to me.... I run with HID on during the day when I feel like it....

The DRL is fuse found in the fuse box in the driver's side.

Looks better without a DRL. However, if you must drive with DRL change those stock Koito bulbs with superwhites.

how hard is it to take out the whole DRL system? can it be put into a USDM R ? with ease?

Would any of you Canadian Peeps want to give me yours as a gift? Yeah free, I'm broke but want to be safe.
