Yes, the smell will fade soon.

either that or they muffler is mounted too close to your rear bumper and is melting that.

i'd go check if i were you.

I'd be relatively suprised if it was however since I have a buddy whos exhaust actually is resting on his bumper and has been for about a month now (he's a lazy *** and hasn't adjusted it) and it hasn't even came close to melting. However I believe ya as I told him it might, but it hasn't so whatever.

OP, when I got my Greddy Evo2 exhaust it had a burnt smell for a while, but faded away and just smells like carbon more than anything!

nope, the exhaust muffler is not close to the rear bumper at all, got a pretty good clearance. so it must be the new exhaust? after how long will it fade away?

That's odd because one of my exhaust hangers popped off and moved my exhaust to hit on the rear bumper and it melted it just from 30 minutes of driving (minimal damage -- but still).

I had this EXACT issue. I bought a ws2 brand new. Right after I installed it I was driving and it smelled like it was burning the plastic bumper. I even pulled over to check that nothing was burning. It went away within a couple days, I'd say 3-5.

Just hit VTEC a couple times...

ShinotakuX: it should fade in a couple days. all new exhausts, including the ones on new cars have some sort of funk as they break in.
