Default EX master cylinder and booster an easy swap into a DX?

Can I take a booster and master cylinder from an EX sedan and bolt it right into my DX hatch without any modifications? Is there any difference between the two boosters? I know that the EX M/C is slightly larger. And yes, I still have the factory drums in the back (at least until I find something better)

I just used the ex master on the stock booster. Brakes are fine but I would leave the stock master on unless your getting bigger brakes.

Yes the EX MC is 15/16 where the DX is 13/16. It will bolt on no problems.

the only thing i'm nervous about on the stock booster is the rust below the m/c:

see how it is? should i be worried about premature failure? or will it be fine?

It looks like the MC was leaking causing it to eat the black paint exposing the metal on the booster. Once you remove the MC, sand the booster to remove that rust and spray some paint on it.

I have an EX, and am fairly new to honda, why is the EX master bigger? Are the actual brakes larger?

My 1990 EX has rear drums. So bigger fronts then, good to know. Anybody know the front EX disc diameter off hand? I am curious now.

iirc 10.3, the whole knuckle is bigger than a dx/lx. the bigger mc will bring the pedal feel up, not an increase in braking though.

i have 94-up teg front calipers on DA control arms, DA rear discs on mine, and a stock HF MC(same as DX/LX). i have no problem with stopping at all.

is there anything better to use than an EX master cylinder? i know that the wagon uses a 7/8 but i also heard that an 89 integra is even better than the EX. is this true?
