When I'm on the freeway, the car runs fine. After about 30 min, check engine light shoots on. Checked it out, code 16. When I searched, everyone that gets this code says their car won't start. Mine does, runs fine for awhile, then runs funny. Code 16 is fuel injectors. Car is 88 CRX DX. Any info greatly appreciated. Please no "GO SEARCH" *****. I already did....

100% your main relay is shitting out on you, spend the 70$ from honda..your injectors are fine, most likely main relay..it throws that code..

 

hey i saw this post and i have the same problem sort of. i have a 88 hatch dx and it throws code 16. my tps was shot to hell for some reason and so i went to the local junkyard found one threw it in there and everything worked fine after messing with the idl a bit, anyways sometimes but rarley the car will idle high after normal driving. i shut it off and retry to start it, CEL kicks on after a few seconds of cranking, check the ecu its code 16. after a while itll kick over and idle fine. do u still think its the main relay? where is the main relay, im fairly new to hondas. so a little help is appreciated yhank you

I will give it a try. many main relay folks say it's when their car won't fire up is when thats the cause of their headaches. Sounds potentially productive. Thanks!

 

yes, but that code 16 is most likely your main relay..and yes it says injectors, but 100% main relay get it fixed before your stuck somewhere
