turbo or h22a swaps
Well I am still dabateing on rather to get a turbo or and h22a for 94 accordEX 5speed. Currently I have 130thousand miles on the accord do you guys think that too high for a turbo (fmax kit) or which is a easier to do. Mods I have right now cams gear, fuel rail, header, catback exhaust, msd box ACT 6puck clutch 55 shot of zex nitrous) etc
Its really your choice, but if you go turbo I'd suggest a rebuild on that engine... 130k miles may be risky to run turbo on, but then again new f22s are VERY cheap, and can be replaced easily.

H22A. screw the H23; you need VTEC!!!
, but Brian (Accord94DX) doesn't think so.

But no vtec on a turboed powerplant is a good thing. Is there any way he could get the H23 and a turbo????
If you are going to be choosing one or the other, I would say go with the H22. You have more potential and aftermarket support with this motor. A basic turbo kit on a F22 will get you only a little more power then you will get by putting in the H22. Now down the road you can build that H22 to be a monster. While it is fun building a SOHC to whoop some ***, if you are looking for product availability, aftermarket support, and a build up in the future, go with the DOHC. If you simply want something that is going to be fun to drive, and are not worried about a bigger build up in the future, turbo the F22. Although, the H22 will be more reliable than a boosted F22.

H22, for sure, since you have so many miles on the original engine. If you're on a budget, you should keep the engine, spend money on good pistons and rods, and then turbo the hell out of it.

BTW, anyone who worrys about motor needing to be built to handle a turbo...I had 113K miles on mine before the turbo. Dynoed great tons of pulls in 3 hours no overheating, no signs of struggling. The low compression of the F22 takes boost with ease.
those rims look like rays engineering
and i've also heard that the h23 can handle more boost than the h22...is this true?...

Well I made up my mind and decided not to spend any more money and just to sell my my car by the end of the year and get the WRX thanks for the comments but a test drive of the WRX with speed and the way it handle is enough.
