Hi, I just bought a 2003 4 door Honda Accord EX v6 w/navi. I've done some researching but couldn't really come up with how to actually put an aftermarket deck in.
My ?'s are:

What part's do I need? (I know I need the kit...going under the navi)
Will the navi still work after the installement?
What wires will have to be connect disconnected etc....
Can I just use my stock deck?

My plans are to install an Alpine head unit(or stock deck, if it's easier), JL 1000/1 amp w/ JL 13" w7....

I have installed many decks on your model car, unfortunately never with navi, so I am not 100% sure if it will still work. I assume that it should. Don't take my word for it. For your car, I always used the kit BKHONK823H from Best Kits. That comes with everything that you need to do the install cleanly and properly. The harness is also a jumper style. Some tips if you are going to be doing it yourself, you have to remove the panels around the shifter column, remove two or three philips screws that hold the pocket in. The pocket is going to be a pain in the *** to removie if its your first time. Trick is, that you have to open it fully, give it a little tug untill you feel the clips let loose, then close the pocket halfway, and pull slowly forward. You have to be careful since I have seen many people snap the clips on that.

 

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking at that kit on crutchfield. I'm just wondering if the navi will still work with that kit.

So my next question would be, can I install the kit straight to the stock deck? What would I need to make it possible?

Where did you guys hook up the remote wire to from the amp?
