Stereo removal

Default Stereo removal

So is it true i can remove the stereo by popping off the center console the black peice? This site says it just pops off and clips it seems to start to come out but i dont want to force it does this really work?hold?it?http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY...an88_civic.htm

I want to install amp wires or sub wires w/e u call em lol its a 99 civic.
