Default 84 prelude 1.8 clutch issues

I was driving the other day and I heard a loud bang then sounded like something was grinding.

The clutch will not engage any any gear. I can put the car in any gear while the car is on except reverse. (this is all without pushing the clutch down).

Man I just replaced the water pump and pulleys and now this. Maybe this is its last leg. I dont know. If anybody has any ideas please chime in.

Is this my clutch or possibly something else?

Thanks

Yeah sounds like clutch problems to me. If your not sure get someone to look it over for you and dont give up on the Lude, I drove an 84 Lude for 5 years and it was very reliable despite having over 300 000 kms on the clock. It was fitted with a towing bar , and the one time i drove the car with a trailer it f*^ked my clutch, and i needed to replace the clutch plates. Then i got rid of the towbar. Its not an overly expensive job to fix it up so get some quotes if you cant do it yourself. Goodluck

Yeah I just quoted for 295 out the door for a new clutch. And im hoping thats the only problem they find. This is actually my lil bros car and Im just trying to help him out. These cars are just amazing cuz he has over 330K on the original motor and tthe speedo has been broken for a while. It probably has over 350K at least.

The fixing continues...
