Default B-Series vs. Integra Alternator Differences?

Hey all,

Does anyone know the difference between a DA alternator and any other B-series alternator? I've been told all B-series use the same alternator but autozone among others doesn't have any interchange info except 90-91 Integras

come on dude is this a joke or somethin its b series, not D, F, and B series. Although yes some civics have B series in them, i really dont think u kno what that means enough to distinguish it. Go get an alternator for a 91-93 intregra or a 94-96 integra LS GS GSR whatever. U know how to bolt it on with the bracket? the alternator can move up and down to relieve stress for the belt.

OK honda made different series of engines. Commonly today you will find D series (most civics crxs Efs) single cam 4 cylinder, then B series( DOHC non vtec and vtec) Newer engines 90-2001 integras will have them. I wont get into sizes cuz itll take too long to type. Then there is F series like Accords and S2000 i believe is F series. Then K series is New civics and RSXs. They are almost chronological, first b then d and so on. Note i say almost. Go to wikipedia.com and type in Honda Engines or Honda Motors.
Now comes the fun part. Most parts WITHIN the same series are interchangeable. This means, B series Header, any model B series same header will work; this sometimes gets altered depending on vtec, non vtec and if its obd0 obd1 obd2. 95 LS GSR header works on 93 integra. To really get into it you have to learn about VTEC, you have to learn about OBD, and about the series of the engines. Its not a one hour thing or something i can write in here, its research. wikipedia should be a good start though. But for your question, ANY B SERIES ALTERNATOR WILL DO. 91-2001 integras im sure ull be fine.
